Professor of deep-sea ecology – Plymouth Marine Laboratory and University of Plymouth. April 2024 – present. Research focused on sustainable management of the deep-sea ecosystem including cold water corals, predictive habitat mapping and modelling.

Research focused on informing the development of offshore (High Seas) marine protected areas and assessing the impacts of deep-water fisheries on the deep-sea ecosystem.
